Glass Etching - Introduction to Sandblasting Workshop

Sandblasting is the process of creating spectacular works of art by  bombarding a glass surface with a pressurized abrasive. You will  create several etched projects as you learn the principles of  sandblasting and the safe use of sandblasting equipment. 

This workshop is required before students may use the shop equipment  on their own or take one of the more advanced sandblasting  workshops.

2 sessions; 2 hours per session; limit 6

Mark is an adjunct instructor at the Howard Community College (HCC) where he offers Stained Glass Classes. Sessions cover cutting glass, foiling, pattern assembly, soldering, and framing your project. See the latest HCC catalog of courses for current dates and time. Please register through HCC.
Just For Kids ---
Children and their friends can celebrate that special birthday by making stained glass jewelry or special projects designed especially for young creative minds.  Email for details.

Deep Carving Workshop

Stage blasting and deep carving are techniques where a design is  blasted to different, distinct depths in glass. You will expand  upon the knowledge and experience acquired in the introduction  workshop as you create several projects.

Advanced Mirrors Workshop

Hands-on practice with regular and beveled glass mirrors will be  the primary focus of this workshop. Learn to deal with unique  problems presented by mirrors.

Introduction for KIDS Workshop

Kids (12 & up) can learn about sandblasting on glass while making  several small projects. An adult MUST accompany each young  adult. All materials supplied.
